Welcome to my songs page. The songs listed below are earnest and humble prayers that I pray to God on a regular basis. I want less of me and more of Him in every way. I also want people to see that my life is a life of worship and music is only one small way to do that. We can worship in everything we do if the motives of our hearts are right. This is not an attempt at self-promotion at all. I am looking for feedback on the songs I will post here. Some things to consider;
1 – Are they able to be used in corporate worship?
2 – Musically what are the flaws that you hear in them?

I want to become better in song writing so I want to use this as a platform to refine my process and make it better. Thanks for taking the time to listen.

If you would like to give feedback drop me an email at chris@serialyouthpastor.com

I wrote ‘Because of You’ a few months ago when we found out Dad was diagnosed with colon cancer. He has been through a lot in the past few months but God has been gracious to us in giving Dad back to us. This song is from Lamentations 3:21-27.

I wrote ‘You’re The King’ back in 2004. When played with a full band it can sound like rock ballad. It’s about Jesus being the King and how I want to bow down to him in all areas of my life.

I wrote ‘Robed in Majesty’ back in 2004. I remember reading through Scripture reflecting on God’s splendor through creation and what our response should be. I startling journaling some thoughts down about God being robed in majesty and what our response to that should be. I kept this song to myself for a while but eventually started sharing it with others around me. This is still a rough copy of the song. I would love your feedback.

I wrote ‘Abba Father’ in 2008 shortly after I arrived in Newell. I was searching for a way to cry out to God and seek his direction – really wanting him to rescue me from myself and help me to follow his direction better. This is a heartfelt cry of mine.

I wrote this song last summer. I’ve never really written an upbeat corporate worship song. We do this one in church form time to time and it’s truly a great thing to see our congregation worship fully along with it – even after they found out I wrote it.
